The Plants

The Group has two factories, one in Forlì and the other in Ravenna.
In addition to the most modern plants for the production of phosphates, completely automated, there are packaging plants, warehouses and silos for storage. The two units are about 25 km away from each other.
The Ravenna plant occupies an area of approximately 27,000 square meters bordered by its quay, on the main branch of the canal port and is well connected to the country’s road, motorway and railway networks.
The Forlì plant is located in the northern industrial area of the city, occupying an area of approximately 10,000 square meters. and is well connected with Ravenna and the main road and motorway networks.
The offices of the group
The two plants each have a building dedicated to the offices of the Group companies. In particular, the production plants are connected to an internal control room, equipped with computerized instrumentation for remote intervention on the adjustments
Ravenna
The Ravenna unit produces a range of calcium phosphates with different levels of phosphorus and calcium, constantly tested by the chemical analysis and research laboratory located in the same plant and managed by a team of young chemists and researchers in the sector.
The production capacity of the plants is about 120,000 tons / year.
The Ravenna plant has a covered area dedicated to three packaging units for all types of packaging:
- 1 and 1.4 ton big bags;
- 25 kg paper bags;
- 25 kg polyethylene bags
In the same plant there is a pilot plant for the study and production of mineral products based on phosphorus and a covered area of about 2,400 square meters for the storage of products packaged on pallets and with a total capacity of about 5,000 tons.
Not to be forgotten is the covered area for the storage of powdered products, with a total capacity of approximately 6,000 tons.

The storage warehouses of the Ravenna plant are located in the heart of the industrial area, with direct access to the quay of the commercial port.
23 silos
18 silos for the storage of finished powder products in front of the quay and another 5 special large silos for the storage of finished powder products.
12 tanks
A coastal terminal for liquids comprising 12 special metal tanks for the
storage of phosphoric acid, for a total capacity of about 15,000 tons of solution.
1 terminal
The fully automated terminal is directly connected to the production unit and to the dock of the ships carrying the acid.

FORLì
The Forlì plant is mainly dedicated to the production of MCP and DCP.
This unit was completely renovated and refurbished in 2013, implementing the best and latest technologies and techniques, thus optimizing and increasing the production and quality of the Fosfitalia product.
The annual production capacity for the Forlì plant is approximately 130000 tons.
1 plant
A covered area for the storage of products packaged both in big bags and in sacks on pallets, with a total capacity of about 5,000 tons.
11 silos
A battery of 8 metal silos for a total capacity of finished products in powder of about 1,500 tons, two silos for the storage of powder products for a total capacity of about 500 tons, connected to a station for unpacking products in big bags and finally a large metal silos, for the storage of raw materials in powder destined to the production plants.
5 tanks
A deposit for liquids consisting of 5 special metal tanks, intended for the collection of phosphoric acid.
